MNF Metropolis Episode 2 - Planning Thread
Yeah, you can add 3 completely new characters if you want. Probably a good idea to come up with a short synopsis of what their roles could be in a sequel to XXX Files: Episode 1.
I went and submitted my "Diva Mizuki in trouble" Idea. I probably put too much story into it for this type of submission. I just figured I might as well explain what I was envisioning.
Obviously the story itself is very rough. If I was to write the actual plot and dialogue for the game I'd spend way more time on it. But since the script for a massive game like this would be giant, I'm not going to bother unless it wins and if Vadim decides he wants my input/help with it.
That all being said what do people think of something like this? It's got a bunch of old, classic MNF characters that need some more spotlight. Should make a bunch of people happy. Even though it's not a big deal what the story is for these submissions (since it'll probably get changed) I'm still open to changing stuff and resubmitting if people have feedback or better ideas.
I didn't add a Specific Female Superheroine character because honestly I'm not interested in writing a new superheroine character and think it'd be cool if someone else's character get's to be in this. For example, if this idea ended up winning, then I'd suggest taking the female heroine character from the second most voted submission and using her. If that doesn't work then I'd like to see Mighty Mom as a backup. Like I pointed out in the idea she kind of owes you for saving her last time anyway. But I'm not sure if we're really allowed to use Mighty Mom in the first place. I'm guessing we still need Serrated's permission despite her being in the first game?

Well it seems like a fine scenario, but it's honestly pretty hard to appreciate when basically every line is so poorly translated that it becomes a chore to read seriously. I know it's not your fault, but I'm not sure if anyone would be willing to actually fix the broken English for you since it would basically involve re-writing the whole script. I personally don't care about the 3 characters you chose either, but maybe others will. I think the biggest barrier is the broken English. It might be difficult to get votes for an idea that is hard to read.
Also, since this is an MNF Metropolis based game, it's really more of an Original Character setting. So It might feel a bit weird/out-of-place to just insert parodies of popular comic book characters into this lore. If you'd used established Metropolis characters or come up with new characters it might sit better with some people (or at least me
)

I will pass all my idea to the English spell checker and I will post it in esperans that it is correct (in any case the general idea is presented).
I also realize that this may sound a a bit hypocritical of me to say since I'm basically made "The Penetrator" a "Terminator - T-800" Parody. But that was mainly because I was being lazy with the design of the male villain and couldn't be bothered drawing or rendering anything unique for him.
